"Our world’s caves are places of wonder, mystery and majestic beauty. Show caves around the world are embracing their role in protecting and preserving caves and providing a place for people to learn about these special, natural, cultural and historical resources.

Show caves also play another important nature tourism role of sustainable economic development, providing jobs, and helping the economy of their regions.”

Invitation to NCA Convention for ISCA members

Luray Caverns is the largest cave in the eastern United States, and is one of the top
commercial show caves in the world, with visitation of half a million a year from all
over the world.
Luray Caverns is situated in the Shenandoah Valley, near the Blue Ridge Mountains,
less than two hours from Washington DC. It is within the Shenandoah National Park,
which is a beautiful scenic area, with lots of history and natural beauty.
Most of the NCA show caves, including Luray Caverns, are doing well in one of the
worst economic times in American history and they will be happy to exchange ideas
with cave owners/operators from other countries.
An “ISCA Members Invitation” is attached. The Shenandoah area is not expensive and
you are invited to take advantage of the exceptionally low US dollar rate.
The convention planning will be completed shortly, and all necessary details and the
schedule of events will be provided to anyone who is interested in participating. It is
promised to be very informative and educational, but also fun!
